Here are some helpful ways to assist you when you are making plans to come to an event at the Leon’s Centre whether it be by car, bus, taxi or otherwise.
We are located at 1 The Tragically Hip Way, Kingston, Ontario.
There is a designated area to drop people off on the south side of The Tragically Hip Way between Ontario and King Streets. As a courtesy to people who are disabled and seniors who need to use the drop-off area, able-bodied event-goers should plan to be dropped off close to the Centre rather than right at the lobby doors.
Our venue uses a dispersed parking model which means that event-goers can park at existing public and private parking lots and on the street rather than at the Centre itself.
For drivers, there are approximately 2,500 parking spaces in lots within a 10-minute walk (approximately 600m) of the Centre. Of these, more than 1,500 spaces are in municipal lots.
Also, more than 550 on-street parking spaces are located within 600m of the centre and will be free for use during evening and Sunday events. Parking is prohibited on The Tragically Hip Way between Ontario and King Streets, and on King Street between Place d’Armes and The Tragically Hip Way.
Please refer to The Leon’s Centre special event parking map which identifies low and high-capacity parking.
A taxi stop is located on Queen Street between Wellington and King Streets, additionally, taxi phones are available inside Gate 4.
Kingston Transit offers an easy and affordable means of getting to the Leon’s Centre for all of our concerts and events.
